Hamid Review

Genre: Drama
Ratings: 7/10
Director: Aijaz Khan

Hamid is a little boy who lost his father and wants to search his father through Allah, the Almighty. His mother explains to him that 786 is the number of Allah. In order to reach his father, he calls in that number and God answers him one day. The call is received by none other than a CRPF Jawan whom Hamid thinks as God and asks him to send his father. They developed a beautiful relationship amidst the hatred that engulfs the city.

The film is an achingly beautiful portrayal of loss, pain, anger, and love in one of the world’s most troubled and militarized zones, Kashmir. With this simple story filmmaker, Aijaz Khan tells a thousand tales and conveys a very important message. Excellent performances by the actors especially the little kid. He will tear you apart every single time you see him on screen. A must watch.
