Uyare Movie Review
Pallavi is an aspiring pilot. She was happy and content in her life. Her Boyfriend Govind is struggling with his career and is very possessive about her. When he heard about her joining the training he enquired about his hostel mates whether they are male or female. His insecurities started to bother her career and concentration. They ended their relationship but with a dreadful end. Govind ruined her life and dream. One night changed her life but fate was waiting for her biggest day.
The film is about an acid attack survivor who aspires to become a pilot. Her life took a tragic turn when she was attacked by her insecure boyfriend. The journey after that is remarkable as to how an acid attack survivor deals with. It’s a very poignant film on this gruesome crime where millions of innocent victims are still dealing with it. Through this film, the actress showed strength and how to overcome that situation with the help of her family, friends, and inner strength.
Parvathy has gracefully managed to bring the tale of a strong woman with subtle and intense acting. There was no forced acting and every scene looked more natural and convincing. Her relationship with her boyfriend and father has been beautifully crafted with some touching scenes. A notable scene was when her father waited for the flight to take off when she joined her first flight as a cabin crew post the acid attack. The doubt in his mind was due to fear of the society on how they perceive someone from an acid attack.
This film is a tribute to all the women who chose to fight despite the harshest crime and still manages to face society with their sheer power and determination. Hats off to the director to bring such an important issue to the cinema with such brilliancy.
