"A fantastic Amala Paul sinks her teeth into one of the great hero..."- Film Companion

The Movies from Tollywood has come a long way in terms of film making with super unique scripts, outstanding performances, and brilliant direction.

Aadai (The Dress) starts with a strong message about women empowerment and how the sacrifices of strong women in the past provided us the freedom to live and think in today’s feministic world. The story starts with many scenes that every young woman in today’s generation aspires to be. A free-spirited girl who is allergic to saree and loves to live her life on her own terms, rides a bike and give a tough competition to all her male colleagues, and brings the best idea on the table. She believes in challenging everything that comes her way and doesn’t bat an eye to win the challenge on any given condition. One such challenge costs her heavy and she got stuck in her own karma.
The Movie revolves around many important topics related to the frenzy of being popular and viral. The madness of selfies, pranks, TRP’s,  trolls, and other social media platforms at the cost of innocent people's lives are being shown in an effective way.

It is a delight to watch Kamini as a bold and free-spirited adventurous prankster. Kamini has more grey to her character as somebody that’s willing to go beyond her limits set by society on how women should behave. She is the hero of this film.

The intense making of the movie with such a brilliant performance by the actress provides ample edge-of-the-seat moments. The ending could have been thought of from a different perspective because of the intent. In some way, it loses the plot and sounded like a woman should know her place and should not misuse the freedom of her identity. Nevertheless, Aadai does justice in providing a strong women-oriented film that breaks a few stereotypes and offers an engaging experience.
