El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie

El Camino joined all the dots of the award-winning series Breaking Bad.

The movie starts right from where the series ends with the death of Walter White. Jesse is free finally from the clutch of Uncle Jack and Todd who captivated him for a long time to help them with the production of the popular Blue Meth. Jesse killed it with 96% purity but not as a partner but as a captive.

Skinny and Badger played a significant role in the movie, helping Jesse to escape from Mexico. The movie revolves around flashbacks of Jesse and present scenario. The movie joins all the dots of the series right from poisoning Lydia, mass murders of Jack’s gang along with Todd.

Jesse with his little connection with Todd was able to flee from the place with the money which was hidden in his home. In one of the flashback scenes, a brief discussion with Mike helped him to decide where he wants to start a new life.

The presence of Heisenberg is missed thoroughly in the movie. Jesse seemed incomplete without his presence. The love and hate relation between them, the constant mental trauma to save and kill each other any moment, the unsettling tension between them is always you will long for throughout the movie

Vince Gilligan keeps the plot advancement and the character development steady and maintains the look and feel of the five-season of the series. There are some new characters introduced and no reference to Heisenberg except some news that keeps on flashing now and then. El Camino is pure Breaking Bad in the way it lays out one feature film, namely Jesse getting out of the dodge, but this time there’s no Heisenberg to help him out.

“Breaking Bad” was always a deeply cinematic show leaving a deep impact on the viewers even today. It is still one of the loved show due to the strong characters with the finest script and with powerful and memorable acting and dialogues. Each episode in all the five-season was tight and well crafted. Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul still rule as one of the finest characters ever introduced in the world of cinema.
